The tool rewrites compatible PDF structure with object streams and keeps the original when rewriting would make it larger. It does not rasterize pages or aggressively recompress every embedded image.
PDFs with inefficient internal structure may shrink, while files already optimized by an export application may change very little. The output size shown after processing is the reliable comparison.
Always review the output page by page. Encrypted, password-protected, damaged or feature-heavy PDFs can be unsupported. For aggressive image downsampling, use a specialist PDF application with explicit resolution controls.

It may already use efficient objects and compressed images. This tool avoids destructive image downsampling and keeps the original bytes when the rewritten file would be larger.
No explicit image downsampling is performed. The main optimization is structural PDF rewriting, so visual content should not be intentionally reduced.
Protected or encrypted PDFs may fail to load. Remove protection with an authorized application before using the browser compressor.
